“I find the Swadha mentoring experience a very profitable one for me. The students have taught me how to be full of hope and resilient in the face of extreme adversity. Every time our students succeed, it’s a triumph for hope and a never say die attitude”. I have been a mentor for Swadha for over 3 years and have had two mentees in that period. My greatest satisfaction came from the fact that my first mentee joined the workforce and moved out of her hometown, to further her career. I believe that the opportunities offered by Swadha and a broader perspective on life from our mentoring conversations, played a role in this. In addition to the pleasure of interacting with my spunky young mentees, I thoroughly enjoy what I learn from my fellow mentors. Finally, and importantly, I am humbled and inspired by the efficiency and continuous improvement philosophy of the Swadha founders.
